Children’s Authors Head for Traquair Fair

The Children's Book Tent at this year's Traquair Fair features a host of storytelling treats from Scottish-based authors and Borders-based storytellers.

The family-friendly event takes place on Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 August in the grounds of Scotland's oldest inhabited home Traquair House near Innerleithen. As well as the Children's Book Tent and some great children's entertainment, the event features an eclectic mix of traditional and world music, visual arts, outdoor theatre, arts and crafts workshops, children's entertainment, a vibrant crafts market and food and drink from around the world.

“The Children’s Book Tent is always extremely popular and we’re greatly looking forward to welcoming these fantastic Scottish storytellers.  Children love to listen to stories and we’re delighted that the creators of such fabulous tales will be attending the Fair to entertain our visitors and hopefully help to encourage a love of books and storytelling among our young people.”
