Easter Fun at Traquair with egg hunts in the maze, children’s activities and workshops. Thousands of eggs to be found and lots of other Easter prizes.
There will be over 5,000 mini eggs hidden in the Traquair Maze for under 10's which covers nearly half an acre at the back of the house. Then, there are a further 1,000 eggs for little egg hunters (under 5's) in the Old Walled Garden and many more larger eggs to be won on treasure and scavenger hunts throughout the house and grounds.
The event is not all about chocolate! The legendary Mr Boom is coming all the way from the Moon to entertain the little ones with his wonderful one man band. You can also have a go at egg painting or have your face painted. There are workshops to make your own musical instrument and your own imaginative Easter Bonnet. At 3pm there is a grand Easter procession down to the house to show off your bonnets.
The event starts at 12pm with hunts at 1.30pm in the maze for 5 - 7yr olds, at 3pm for under 5's in the Walled Garden and at 3.30pm for 7- 9yr olds in the Maze. All activities finish at 5pm.
