If you want a different experience of visiting a historic house why not try Traquair’s historical ghost tours which bring history to life through the spirits of past inhabitants.

As you approach Traquair at night down the drive lit only by flares you can already feel the past as this ancient building is lit in an eerie glow.

You will be met by members of family from years gone by who will escort you on a tour of Traquair by candlelight as the floors creak and the wind whistles through the walls you should expected the unexpected…

Tours last approximately an hour and are followed  by a glass of mulled wine and a chance in the eighteenth century Dining Room. You can also make an evening of it and book a delicious home cooked supper  at the 1745 Cottage Restaurant.

Numbers are limited to 25 per tour so book early to avoid disappointment.
