TRAQUAIR MEDIEVAL FAIR 2007

The Sixth annual Medieval Fayre this year promises to be a bigger event than ever before due to generous support from Scottish Borders Council.

The Fayre will transport you back to a past when Traquair played an important role as a hunting lodge for the Scottish royals and a centre of music and arts.

The programme will include the following highlights:

  • Medieval Pageant & Combat Displays
  • Living History demonstrations & Shows
  • Falconry & Birds of prey
  • Jester & Minstrels
  • Early Music with the Galloway Consort and Gaita
  • Children's Helmet & Sword Making Workshop
  • Crafts including medieval tile making, historical glass, clothes, candles, calligraphy, green woodturning, willow working, clothes, candles & leather tankards
  • Spit Roast, Good Food & Fayre Ale
