As well as the House, Traquair also has extensive grounds to explore which include the maze that is planted with 1,500 trees! and the play ground of willow tunnels. Why not take lunch in the old walled garden at the 1745 Cottage Restaurant then have a wander through the woodland walk which boasts some of the oldest yew trees in Scotland or take a tour around one of the oldest working breweries in Britain dating back to the eighteenth century where all the delicious Traquair House Ales are available to sample and purchase. Also set in Traquair grounds are several independent craft shops, the Traquair gift shop and the Traquair brewery shop for you to pick a souvenir or two.
