Sir William Gillies RSA – A Love of Landscape Exhibition

Celebrating the work of Sir William Gillies in the Scottish Borders and Lothians
Traquair’s annual summer exhibition will this year celebrate the work of Sir William Gillies RSA in the High Gallery at Traquair House.
William Gillies lived and worked for many years in Temple, Midlothian and had a particular love and deep connection for the landscape of the Scottish Borders as well as the Lothians. He had a strong friendship with the writer, George Scott-Moncrieff, who lived near Traquair and some works from private collections will also be included alongside works from the RSA collection.
The exhibition will be hosted in the High Gallery at Traquair House (3rd Floor) from Sunday 9th August – Thursday 17th September *.
Free entry for Season Pass holders or included in your grounds ticket – please ask for a voucher on arrival at Traquair. Buy Day Tickets
